The night of 32 March 2015 found a full house at club Barba Negra when Fight Night Hungary II. - SIMPLY THE BEST 3 came around. Fans have seen once again an exciting show with the first part being Muay Thai and the second Kickboxing bouts. On top of the great matchups and exciting fights the fate of some championship belts were also decided. As WKN World President Stephane Cabrera said "György Rehák and his promotional team have really produced the top level of the WKN International standards in all aspects."
When Norbert Spéth, multiple time IFMA muay thai Hungarian Champion, IFMA muay thai Europan Champion stepped into the ring against Attila Erdős WAKO K-1 Hungarian Champion it was clear there's going to be a battle. Spéth seemed to be getting the better of the exchanges and taking over when in the second round the two engaged in a clinch and Spéth has thrown Erdős. An unfortunate thing but we've seen it many times in combat sports Erdős got injured from the fall and couldn't continue. Norbert Spéth has taken another trophy - the Muay Thai Hungarian Championship belt for the 63.5kg category!

Coming back from an injury Horváth started training early this year and might very well looked better than ever when he knocked Szentkuti out in the third.
Next up was Bia Balajti - whom we've written about regarding Hurricane Fight 2014 and the first edition of Fight Night Hungary - vs Rebeka Szendrei a WAKO & WKF K-1 world cup winner. Balajti was noticeably using her hands more and as we found out post fight she injured her right ankle which barely healed up for the fight. She still managed to dominate all three rounds and even caught Szendrei with a body shot in the 3rd that sent her down. She managed to get up but the bell has ended the round and the bout. Bianka won on all three scorecards and got the WKN K-1 Hungarian Championship belt home via an UD.
It was time for ReGym's very own Barna Szűcs in a clash for the 75kg WKN K-1 European Championship against Tomas "Bery" Beran (Czech Republic). Although it started a bit slow Szűcs managed to knock Beran down a few times during the fight. It was all out war until a knee to the head of Beran landed in the 4th. Szűcs won via KO and took the WKN belt!

Promoter György Rehák (left) with champ Barna Szűcs[/caption]Attila Gilányi met Ádám Bors for the second time at Fight Night Hungary in the 91kg division. The two heavyweights have been paired up for the WKN K-1 Hungarian Championship this time. In the rematch Gilányi has managed to seal the deal even faster and in a more decisive way than upon their first outing when he landed a thunderous knockout punch in the 1st round.
After another great night of fights and a tv deal with National TV channel SPORT 1 which let fans capture the event promoter György Rehák (one of the top muay thai trainers in Hungary) has every reason to be positive regarding the event's future. Some promotions already started to get a foothold on national sport channels and coverage in general just seems to be increasing in Hungary. A window of opportunity seems to be opening up for bigger and better things.
Fight Night Hungary has everything to become something big on the local or even the regional scene with the tools available to them and the support of WKN as well. As WKN World President Stephane Cabrera said he seen some real, new talent, a big potential, excellent fighters and he wants to give all his energy and power to help them develop. Fight fans might expect a bright future for kickboxing and muay thai in Hungary and we have do have some reasons to look ahead and be optimistic.
